If on Linux and Solaris systems ODV 4.3.10 is installed in a different path than the previous version and if the previous installation path is renamed or deleted, ODV 4.3.10 may crash on startup. In such a case please install ODV 4.3.10 in the same location as the previous version. This issue will be fixed in future releases.

Dear users,

FIRST TIME USERS ON LINUX or SOLARIS please note:

ODV 4.3.10 crashes if the very first installation doesn´t go in the default directory "~/odvmp" as suggested in "INSTALL.txt"!

So when you do a first installation on your computer please go into your home directory,
create a directory "odvmp", and unpack ODV in that directory.
In a terminal you would do like this:
> cd
> mkdir odvmp
> cd odvmp
> tar xvfz odv_4.3.10_linux-i386.tar.gz

The bug will be fixed in the next release.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Michael
