World Ocean Atlas 2005 (WOA05) Data for Ocean Data View The objectively analyzed global ocean historical hydrographic data from the U.S. NODC World Ocean Atlas 2005 are provided in ODV collection format, ready to be used with the Ocean Data View analysis and visualization software. WOA05 data are available at 1°x1° resolution. The collections contain data for the following set of variables: Temperature [°C] Salinity [psu] Oxygen [ml/l] Oxygen Saturation [%] AOU [ml/l] Phosphate [~$m~#mol/l] Nitrate [~$m~#mol/l] Silicate [~$m~#mol/l] For each of these variables, except for Oxygen Saturation and AOU, the following data are provided in the 1°x1° ODV collections (data types are indicated by prefix to variable labels): prefix ________________________________________________ (none): all-data objectively analyzed mean ma: seasonal or monthly difference fields dd: number of observations sd: standard deviation of data se: standard error of the mean of data mn: unanalyzed mean of data oa: interpolation error fields For Oxygen Saturation and AOU only the objectively analyzed mean fields are provided. Data are provided at the following standard depths (in m): 0, 10, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500. Note that the files are large (up to 70/190 MB zipped/unzipped).
